ABOUT DRUM BREWING
In the Summer of 2022 a crazy idea was formed amongst 6 friends, and that idea is finally here!
Drum Brewing was started by a group of friends who call Fort McMurray home and love adventures in beer. After many discussions (or commiserations) about the lack of local beer, we decided to turn our brewing ambitions into a reality and see the craft beer market start back up in Fort McMurray.
We will be pouring staples of the craft beer world such as clean and crisp lagers, malt forward hazy pale ales, hop infused india pale ales, and wheaty hefeweizens. But, pushing boundairies will be a philosphy of ours with the aim to brew exceptional products for the most daring craft beer aficionados.
We all share a passion for the craft beer industry and our main goal is to spread the love that can be found around a table of delicious brews with friends and strangers alike.

MEET THE DRUM TEAM
Trevor Wakeling
Owner + Brewer
Trevor developed a passion for homebrew shortly after moving to Fort McMurray and meeting other fellow homebrewers in town. Over the last decade while travelling North America, his family vacations have frequently involved seeking out as many craft breweries as possible to learn the process and try new styles of which he could try to recreate at home.
Matt Nash
Owner-Operator
The group’s resident adrenaline junkie, when Matt isn’t wrenching on big equipment, you can find him pushing limits of his own; from dirt bikes/snow bikes to mountain bikes and anything outdoors! (He can also hold his own on a unicycle!) Matt’s love of craft beer started a few years back, and since then he’s been just as adventurous in pints as he is on a mountain!
Ryan Reid
Owner-Operator
Ryan is a born and raised Fort Mcmurray resident. Equipped with a natural business sense, Ryan recently sold his successful powder coating business in order to pursue a new venture. In his spare time, you will find him tinkering with hobbies in his garage, enjoying a casual beer with friends, and spending time with his family.
Jeff Mahood
Owner-Operator
Seeking a change, Jeff moved to Fort McMurray from Ontario in 2006. He attended Keyano College and became Red Seal Certified in welding. After calling Fort McMurray home for the last 18 years he's had the opportunity to advance my career, try new hobbies, travel, and meet amazing people. When the opportunity presented itself to launch a local brewery and learn the craft of brewing itself, he seized it without hesitation!
